JDM Dave blew his SR20 last fall [Big surprise] and went the way of reliability and useful power.

We had a "lazy" day at the Fail garage and I thought I'd go ahead and document the changes the 240 has already gone thru.

JDM Dave, Rotary Chris and friend at the fail garage. GMDM Dave, Mitch, Cody and Bo were all in attendance later that day

Dave is hoping for lower power, but we all assume that the motor probably has a cam. For his sake, I hope it doesn't... We'll see.

Sikky swap kit, accusump and cool shit.

Dave is completely redoing the harness, his attention to detail makes my head hurt. Cody doin' work on the yellow wires.

He's also switching up his wheel tire setup this year. 275fr 315rr... Nothing says fast like Porsche tires.

The waiting game

Good guys, just took too long for me to make up my mind.
[Rear main seal, compressor outlet, O2 adapter]

In the mean time I've assembled the motor as best as I could, I'll install the powersteering in the car. When the rear main comes in I'll toss on the spec stage2 and flywheel and the transmission and toss the girl in.

I pulled the KA that was in it; record time of 45 mins hahaha

With help from JDM Dave and Mitch I've started unfucking my wiring harness. I had a beautiful OEM Sr harness to work with, half way thru modifying it found out it wasnt a red top harness. [MAF plug was different and alot of plugs had different pinouts]

So now I'm back to fixing the harness that came with the motor. More on that later.

Going for super stock since, I don't want the headaches from a highly modified motor when I have such a tight budget.

Did the front 5lug swap and zbrake addition to the car.
[In all honesty I'm about 75% done, still need to swap over the BMC and rebend a line]

Pulled the whole knuckle/LCA from the donor car, this made for a "Quick" swap rather than having to install 5 lug into the knuckle. BLAH.

Donor car. It's so clean, really need to make it drivable soon.

Ran into a hell of a snag on the vert. Brake line wouldn't come undone at the soft line. Due to limited mechanical knowledge, I did the only thing I could think of.
Pull the whole damn line with the knuckle and swapped over the lines from the donor car. Took so much extra time.

1 step closer to being ready for summer.

I've decided to start cutting weight. I need to be at 189 to make weight for the air force/ air reserves.
Too easy.

~ 950 calories a day. I still do my daily routine for cardio, will try to amp it
up but Im worried about energy levels.

Weight isn't dropping [not a terrible thing] I think its because I'm cutting fat

So mass gained is about equal to what Im losing. Sitting at a steady 203lbs right now [for the past 2 weeks].

Post 2 and I'm already running out of "clever" titles for my "build". Haha see what I did there?

Anyway. Despite a lack of proper running shoes I've decided to switch to doing 20 mins a day on the treadmill. Nice pace for now. Fast enough I get to jog but not so fast that I get runners cramp in 5 mins.
This is followed by an additional 20-30 mins on the Eliptical machine and 10 mins on the bike.

Time on the treadmill will increase when my legs dont get so tight that I almost fall off. FUCK I'M OUT OF SHAPE.

Anyway.

I've decided it's time to get back in shape.
I have limited time and a lack of dieting skills.
Soooo...

Daily intake consists of:
[Breakfast] PB&J and a Banana.
[Lunch] 2x $1 Chicken crisps from BK hold the mayo /or/ a powerbar
[Dinner] Bowl of cereal (Great Grains or Banana nut Crunch)

Routine is 5min warmup on an elliptical machine followed by
5 mins of stretching.
another 20-40mins cardio on the same machine.
Lifting routine
Focusing on two body parts a day
and finishing with ABS.

Month 1 [Nov]

Will post updated picture tomorrow[ish].

In my case it's drifting.
I love it. I don't know why, I think it's the adrenaline.
I've given up alot for this addiction.
I gave up an awesome relationship with a beautiful girl, a great job, I lost friends and broke hearts.

For the good though. I'm no longer in debt.

I bought a vert

Mostly because people told me it was stupid.
Screw those people. I have a great chassis to work off of [NO RUST!!!] and the money to make it road worthy.

Already has 5 speed.
Needs a knock sensor, some fans and a coolant overflow thingy as well as a Nismo thermo.
Shit's already on the way.

In my normal fashion, I already have coils for the car.

Well it took me 2 years to get the guts to do my 5 speed.
Just stabbed the trans on.
Took about 30 mins with help from my brother.

I'm glad I waited though.
Knowledge and experience [I still suck at this shit] was very helpful.

Well I moved back from Kansas City in order to take advantage of an awesome
job opportunity that will be available to me in a few months.

I've procured half of our 2 car garage for my mechanical needs. All this, home cooked meals and a place to stay. Fucking love you mom.
